After having announced in an official statement on December 22 what would be the requirements to receive travelers who enter the country, the Ministry of Public Health and Social Assistance (MSPAS) retracted the new measures and said that it is still they are analyzing them.
In a new communication released through official channels, the MSPAS said “the health authorities are working on updating the national guidelines for the prevention of COVID-19 for international travel to and from Guatemala. Once the analysis by the health authorities is finished, they will be published through official channels “
Without indicating what these new measures will be, the ministry added that they will come into force as of January 3, 2022.
So far, the requirements to enter the country is to present the vaccination certificate with a complete schedule and those who do not have it must carry the negative covid-19 test, no more than three days prior to the trip.
