The man suffered injuries to the face and extremities from the launching of explosives and shots, according to the authorities.
In addition, on Friday it was confirmed that agent Luis Herbert Emmanuel Reynoso Rivera died during a confrontation that began when uniformed men supported residents for corn harvesting tasks.
At that time, according to versions of residents of Ixtahuacán, they were attacked with gunshots and two other police officers were injured.
According to the versions of residents, the confrontation would have left several people dead, but the authorities have not reached the point of conflict to determine the number of victims and wounded.
On Saturday morning, residents indicated that dozens of agents were already in place to carry out operations.
The PNC has only indicated that they are searching for victims.
The confrontations between residents of Nahualá and Santa Catarina Ixtahuacán originate in land disputes that arose several years ago, which have not been resolved by either local authorities or governments in power.
