Correa retires injured and in tears three days from Real Madrid-Inter

Correa retired 58 minutes after the appointment of the Roman Olympic stadium after noticing severe discomfort in the biceps femoris in his left leg after a dribble, when his team was winning comfortably 3-0.

The Argentine forward, signed last summer for 40 million euros from Lazio, left the pitch visibly sore and burst into tears when he reached the bench.

His compatriot Lautaro Martínez tried to console him and coach Simone Inzaghi replaced him with Chilean Alexis Sánchez.

Correa scored four goals this season in 16 games.

Inter will visit Real Madrid this Tuesday with the possibility of advancing to the round of 16 as first classified in case of victory.

Real Madrid is now the leader with a two-point advantage over the Italian team. EFE
