A 16-year-old girl who was reported missing in Coatepeque, Quetzaltenango, on October 10, was located in a sector of Oaxaca, Mexico, the State Prosecutor’s Office reported this Thursday, November 25.
Attorney General Arturo Peimbert Calvo reported that the teenager was found alive and that to achieve this he had the support of police intelligence and the use of technologies from the Deputy Attorney General for Attention to Victims of Disappearance and Uncharted Persons.
In addition, he said that the case became known after last October 27, the mother of the teenager, accompanied by diplomatic authorities from Guatemala, reported the disappearance of the minor.
The minor was found in the vicinity of the San Juan Chapultepec area and told the authorities that she had fled her home due to a family conflict, so she decided to look for her mother – a resident of Mexico – to remain in her custody.
In Guatemala, the teenager had an Alba-Keneth alert active from the moment her disappearance was reported.
