The strong warning that an expert makes about massive events and what they can cause with covid-19

Massive events in different Latin American countries are beginning to cause coronavirus infections, a pulmonologist and researcher warned this week.

The main example given by Raúl Sansores, from the Fundación Clínica de Médica Sur de México, is that a 30-year-old fan who attended the Formula 1 Grand Prix infected other attendees at the Hermanos Rodríguez Autodrome in that country with covid-19.

The fan did not know he had the disease, as he had the complete Pfizer vaccine schedule, published the Mexican newspaper Milenio.

In conclusion, the pulmonologist ensures that the virus continues to be actively transmitted, since the patient also lacked common risk factors.

The fan does not know where he could get the virus, but he is aware that he infected the virus in said massive event, and acknowledged that he did not use masks or social distancing measures, according to Sansores, and that he only knew that, when he saw the alert traffic light in green, they assumed there would be no risks.

“He infected his wife and in-laws, all of them were also vaccinated. The important thing is that, because they had been immunized, they did not present the serious form of the disease, ”explained the researcher in an interview with Milenio.

“He – the fan – had a little pneumonia, the others came out of the lungs well. They did not occupy a hospital bed. They are only being given treatment to reduce the symptoms of fever, “he added.

What is the warning?

Sansores pointed out that covid-19 continues to spread even in patients vaccinated with the complete scheme and that all biosecurity measures must be maintained and massive events avoided.

In addition, he stressed that those who suffer from diabetes, hypertension, obesity and immunosuppression do not do so well, even if they are vaccinated.

A 20-year-old girl, positive for covid, also attended a meeting with friends, in which she infected 11 of 20 attendees, the specialist said, as another example that the virus is still alive.

“If we continue to see massive events without security measures, this honeymoon with the covid will end at the end of December and at the beginning of January 2022 it is a great divorce,” warned Sansores, published Milenio.
